This is a call for volunteers for my personal Indignation project for this year. My plan (hope?) is to do a series of photographs of same-sex couples kissing, and if Miak allows, to mount it as part of an exhibition. Will it run afoul of MDA? Dunno, but we won't know until we try.
Obviously I need volunteers, and quite a number too. Conceptually, it will involve proper studio shots close-up of lip-smooching.
You can either be real couples, or two friends prepared to act the part for a lark. You will get a digital copy of the selected photographs as souvenir.
Needless to say, you need to be out. If one partner is not completely out, there are ways of half-concealing the face (i.e. shoot back of head), but it is not foolproof since I need to show at least a little of the face in order to indicate that the partner is same-sex.
Nestled within this idea is another - which may or may not be possible to carry out. It is what I call the "town slut", i.e. the same person is seen in various photographs kissing different people! Clearly, it needs a very sporting volunteer. But what better way to shock the conservatives?
Step one is to see whether I will be able to get sufficient volunteers. When I think I have, I will - step 2 - schedule photoshoot sessions on weekday evenings and weekends in June or July (you can choose a session
convenient for you).
Obviously I hope to see couples volunteering so that they're comfortable with whom they kiss. Alternatively, I'd be happy to have many town sluts who don't mind me pairing them up with other town sluts to make the photographs.
